The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 was passed with the goal of creating
standards to improve accessibility across the province, so that persons with disabilities will
eventually have equal access to services, employment, transportation, information or buildings.
Under this act, Ontario Regulation 429/07 (also called Accessibility Standards for Customer Service) sets forth rules
about the establishment of policies, practices and procedures for providing goods or services to persons with disabilities
In accordance with accessibility legislation, the municipality has established a customer service policy.
You may obtain a copy of this policy at the municipal office, during regular business hours. Or, you may request that a copy be sent to you by email, by fax, or by regular mail. If you have comments and/or suggestions about our
service standards, you may wish to use the feedback form that is included with the policy.
